Dec 13, 2010
After another incredible year for music, the time has finally come to rank the best Tracks & Albums from the past 365 days. I’ll be releasing my Top 75 Tracks of 2010 in twenty-five song increments over the next three days, and will follow-up with my Top Albums shortly thereafter.
Before we get started, it’s worth noting that album “leaks” cause a lot of confusion when it comes to proper year-end music evaluation — thank you, Internet. As an example, I had included Local Natives’ album Gorilla Manor in last years rankings because of its November 2009 UK release date. (The album dropped stateside in February 2010.) Just for fun: if I were assigning a value to that album for this year, it would have been #4, and I digress.
Let us kick things off with the Top Tracks of 2010: #51—75:
 Delorean – “Real Love”
 Drake – “Fireworks”
 Geographer – “Kites”
 Sleigh Bells – “Rill Rill”
 The National – “Bloodbuzz Ohio”
 The Holidays – “Broken Bones”
 Surfer Blood – “Floating Vibes”
 Hey Champ – “Neverest”
California Wives – “Blood Red Youth”
 Chromeo – “Hot Mess”
School Of Seven Bells – “Windstorm”
 Neon Indian – “Sleep Paralysist”
French Horn Rebellion – “This Moment”
 Big Boi – “Follow Us”
 Kele – “On The Lam”
Minus the Bear – “My Time”
 Delta Spirit – “Bushwick Blues”
 Spoon – “Mystery Zone”
 CeeLo Green – “F*** You”
 Grum – “Turn It Up”
 Gorillaz – “Empire Ants”
 The Morning Benders – “Excuses”
 Kisses – “Kisses”
 Caribou – “Odessa”
Mux Mool – “Get Better John”
